This family-friendly celebration runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and features an evening packed with great food, live music, and a spectacular fireworks display. (Rain date: July 2.) Come hungry and explore more than 30 of Rhode Island's most sought-after food trucks, presented by Rhody Food Truck Events. Enjoy live entertainment from Cover Story, then relax with a drink in the Beer & Wine Garden hosted by Millonzi Fine Catering before the night sky lights up with fireworks. To help keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone, bikes, scooters, pets, and drones are not permitted on the event grounds. Whether you're coming for the food, the music, or the fireworks, the Smithfield Fireworks Extravaganza is a festive way to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends.

This year's entertainment lineup features 19 Nervous Breakdown (a tribute to the Rolling Stones), Midnight Metaphor, Brother to Brother Band, and Chiqui Versace, providing music for everyone before the night sky comes alive with fireworks. Please note that coolers, backpacks, and pets are not permitted. In the event of rain, the celebration will be held on Monday, July 6.

Celebrate a century of tradition at the 100th Arnold Mills Fourth of July Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026! This year's theme, "Our 100th Parade," honors one of Rhode Island's longest-running Independence Day celebrations and a beloved community tradition that dates back to 1926. Known for its unique "Ancients and Horribles" theme, the parade showcases the whimsical, creative spirit that has made this event a local favorite for generations. Spectators can enjoy colorful floats, imaginative walking horribles, live music, delicious food, and plenty of patriotic fun. Awards will be presented for both outstanding floats and the best walking horribles. The parade steps off at 11:00 AM from the Rhode Island/Massachusetts border on Route 120 (Nate Whipple Highway) in Cumberland and travels approximately one mile, ending at the intersection of Nate Whipple Highway and Abbott Run Valley Road.
