Mother’s Day is Sunday, and there are plenty of ways to make this a special weekend here in the Blackstone Valley!

Shopping & Mother’s Day Fun

Shop an array of vendors, from clothing to home decor, at the Mother’s Day Marketplace at the Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket open Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. 

Sip & Shop with the Modern Farmhouse and The Flower Shack in Cumberland for local artisan gifts, flower arrangements while sipping delicious mimosas and sangrias!

From Brown and Hopkins to the  Hen House and some great antique shops, you are bound to find a unique gift for mom. Visit Glocester Business Association

Mapleville Farm, in addition to tasty baked goods, is offering a Mother’s Day Garden Tea. (Reservations required).

Speaking of tea, dress mom up and take her to the Hearthside House for a Downton Abbey Inspired Tea & Mother’s Day Celebration on Saturday, May 7 from 12:30 – 4 pm.  

Another great option is the new English tea shop in Smithfield. Bring mom for afternoon tea with the Queen at Val’s English Tea and Pie Shop. Reservations required.

Here are just a few of our restaurants taking Mother’s Day reservations:

Galito’s Restaurant, Pawtucket – Check out the special Mother’s Day menu for dine in with mom or take-out. 

Bring Mom to 10 Rocks in Pawtucket for their lunch buffet on Sunday, May 8 from 10 am to 3 pm.  It’s only $20 for adults and $12 for kids.

Parma Ristorante, Smithfield has a special Mother’s Day menu available from 4:30 to 9:00 pm – but make your reservations soon!  

 

Follow up with Dessert or Drinks 

If you missed out on ordering  some baked goodies, head over to one of our many ice cream spots in the Valley like Lincoln Creamery in Lincoln, The Wright Scoop at Wright’s Dairy Farm in North Smithfield or Mimi & Pop’s in Central Falls.

Perhaps Mom would prefer to sip a cocktail or some wine. Diamond Hill Vineyard in Cumberland and Mulberry Vineyard in Glocester are both open with outdoor seating. Rhode Island Spirits is serving Mother’s Day Cocktails and Donuts in their tasting room along the Blackstone River Sunday, May 8, 1 – 5 pm in Pawtucket and you can admire the sculpture garden while sipping a cocktail at White Dog Distilling also in Pawtucket.  Pick up a ticket for their upcoming Cocktails and Gardens event on May 19 for another opportunity to spend time with mom!
