East Providence Celebrates Pride this Saturday!

Did you miss the Pride celebrations in Providence last weekend? No worries… East Providence has a fun-filled celebration planned, kicking off with a parade at  12 noon starting at Pierce Memorial Field followed by a flag raising at 1:30 pm at the City Hall. The celebration continues across the street at Weaver Library with live music, DJ Chad, and Drag Queen Story Telling starring renowned Rhode Island Drag Queen entertainer, Haley Star! More Info

Beer and summer vibes are on tap this weekend in Pawtucket! 

Head over to the German American Cultural Society of Rhode Island for  “Sommerfest.”  This annual event is a summertime version of the traditional Wiesen or Oktoberfest to welcome the warm weather months. If you are in the city, why not head on over with your friends and family for some traditional live music and share in ‘der Gemütlichkeit’ (coziness or relaxation) with German beer and plenty of traditional food offerings. festivities begin at 1 pm Saturday, June 25th and continue through to 11 pm.

You can continue the theme of beer and summer fun by crossing town to  The Guild, where they’re hosting their first  Summerfest. Have fun in the sun with crushable beers and live music! They’ll be grilling up your favorite cookout foods, and Atomic Blonde Ice Cream will serve up sweet treats! Tickets are $25 and only $5 for the designated driver.   Saturday, 1 pm – 8 pm. 

Still hungry? Then continue your day at another Pawtucket brewery,  Foolproof Brewing, for an old-fashioned Pig Roast with Mill City BBQ. Roasting begins at 3 pm on Saturday, June 25 and serving begins at 4:30 pm.  A $35 ticket gets you a helping of roasted pig, sides and a beer.  TICKETS
