Valentine Round Up for Blackstone Valley, RI

Cupid has your Blackstone Valley roundup for Valentines Day!

From dining to sweet treats, gifts and events… here are a few things on Cupid’s list.

Dining – It’s not too early to make your reservations — here are but a few of our restaurants taking reservations for Valentine’s Day:

  • Andrew’s Bistro, Cumberland is serving up Valentine specials all week long from Valentines’ Day February 14 – February 19 @ 4 – 9 pm.

  • Davenport’s in Cumberland and East Providence has a special Valentine menu available Friday, February 11 through Sunday February 13. SEE MENU

Sweet Treats – If you want to pick up some sweet treats for your favorite loved one.

  • Chocolate Lovers Alert! Gingersnaps Bakery in Lincoln is offering a heart shaped chocolate cake filled with chocolate whipped cream, frosted in chocolate buttercream and coated in a chocolate ganache. Adorned with chocolate sprinkles, fresh flowers and a pink raspberry macaron that looks absolutely decadent.

  • On Saturday, February 12, @ 1 – 2 pm Gingersnaps is also partnering with the Museum of Work and Culture for a virtual Children’s Baking Workshop. This family-friendly event includes an interactive French Language matching game, baking bingo, and a brief presentation on the history of Valentine’s Day.  Baking kits will be available for pickup at the Museum prior to the event and will include: a chef’s hat, apron, recipe card, game printouts, heart-shaped sugar cookies, frosting, and sprinkles so children can follow along and decorate their own cookies.  REGISTER HERE

  • If you’re looking for a hot or iced latte, Blackstone Herbs & Coffee Bar, Cumberland, has a special latte menu available for the month of February. For instance, a Sage Rose Moon Milk Latte will go great with any Valentine treat.

  • If you’re looking for some sweet cocktails or beer. Crooked Current has just released its chocolate cherry stout. Pair it up with some tasty food from JA Patty’s or newly opened Ming’s Asian Street Food.   If you prefer, you can try cherry chocolate moonshine or chocolate peanut butter moonshine at White Dog Distilling. They say the chocolate peanut butter moonshine is like drinking a chocolate peanut butter cup. All are located at 560 Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket.
