Who doesn’t like a juicy burger with fries every once in a while?! Here are some ideas if you’ve got that hankering…

 In January,  restaurants in Burrillville  and surrounding areas participated in Burger Week.  Cow’s Tail Deli and Creamery, Johnny’s Victory Diner , Serio’s Pizzarama,  Hill’s Tavern in Chepachet and Quik Stop Deli in Slatersville. 

They offered a variety of burger choices that sounded delicious like the “Smokehouse Burger” at Hill’s Tavern that includes swiss cheese, onion rings and drizzled with barbecue sauce or the “Miss Piggy” at Johnny’s Victory Diner that has pulled pork and coleslaw on the burger plus Johnny’s house-made honey sriracha glaze.  

We tried  Cow’s Tail Deli for their Cow’s Tail Cheeseburger, an Angus burger (cooked medium) with mozzarella cheese, freshly shaved parma prosciutto (shaved as we watched!), roasted red peppers, and fresh basil drizzled with balsamic vinegar served on a freshly baked kaiser roll (baked locally). We had this with hand-cut Idaho French fries and yum… it was so good! They did not skimp on portions at all which we liked, and there was even enough left over for next day’s lunch.  The week proved to be a success and the Cow’s Tail Cheeseburger took was the winning burger.

Because of the success of Burger Week in Burrillville, we thought we would share some more burger places for to Fuel Up for Buy Local.

You can find a great burger all around Rhode Island’s Blackstone Valley! For instance, you can also grab a burger at Stanley’s Famous Hamburgers in Central Falls that are famous for a reason, Copperfield’s Burger & Beer House in Smithfield, or Craft Burgers & Beer in Pawtucket known for their specialty burgers (and sandwiches) that are piled sky-high for what some say is the best burger in Rhode Island.  

If  you prefer a veggie burger we’ve got that too. Many of the spots previously mentioned as well as Plouffe’s or Garden Grille in Pawtucket can serve it ’em real tasty for you!!
