Woonsocket Main Street Holiday Stroll

Always held the first Saturday in December, this is a wonderful event for families and friends intended to promote the Main Street area businesses during the busy holiday season, encouraging residents and visitors to buy local and shop small.
These small business owners are the backbone of our community. They are always stepping up to support our community, so we invite you to help them by doing your holiday shopping in our downtown area, which is growing each year.
There will be entertainment all afternoon and evening, with Stroll activities and decorations from Market Square to Lops Brewery, including several musical acts, such as choirs, singers, and dancers.
A new activity kicking off the festivities this year is a Rein-Dog parade. You will want to watch this. We invite dogs and their guardians to take part in a short walk wearing their best holiday gear or costume.
Other activities to look forward to this year include a scavenger hunt with great prizes, a tree decorating contest, various craft stations at several locations, food vendors, a best-dressed window contest, a free trolley bus ride around the downtown area, the crowd favorite horse and buggy ride with not one but two this year, and many more fun things to do.
You’ll want to attend the festivities. Stop at the Museum of Work & Culture, Woonsocket Historical Society, Beacon Charter School, Millrace Event Space, Timeless Antiques, Geri’s Bluffing Boutique, and more for special activities and refreshments.
