WNRI radio is offering a series of programs to celebrate Black History Month, that will incorporate both music and biographical histories of prominent Black musicians from the past hundred years that include the 50 Most Influential Black Music Artist Of All Time
• Sunday, Feb. 7, 4-5 p.m.: Among the artists featured will be Dinah Washington, Tina Turner, Ruth Brown, and Smokey Robinson
• Sunday, Feb. 14, 4-5 p.m.: Bo Diddley, Nina Simone, Sly and the Family Stone, The Temptations and Otis Redding
• Sunday, Feb. 21, 4-5 p.m.: Nat King Cole, The Supremes, Sam Cooke, Mahalia Jackson, Little Richard and Prince
• Sunday, Feb. 28, 4-6 p.m.: B.B. King, Marvin Gaye, Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Domino, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, Louis Armstrong, James Brown and Miles Davis.
