Learn how the Blackstone River influenced the birth of the Industrial Revolution

Museum of Work & Culture is offering walking tours of Historic Woonsocket

Guides will lead groups along the banks of the Blackstone and Main Street, explaining how the river influenced the birth of the Industrial Revolution and how, in turn, the mills environmentally impacted the river.

Tours run through August 25, and are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Children under 10 are free with a paid adult admission. All participants will also receive complimentary admission to the MoWC.

Groups are limited to 15. Pre-registration is suggested. Reservations can be made by calling the Museum at (401) 769-9675.

This is a Rhode Island Great Outdoors Pursuit Event. The Pursuit offers great activities for children and their families to get outdoors for recreation, exercise, and good health.
