Are you thinking about signing up for Level 1 but have no idea what an improv class is like?
Are you an experienced improviser who’s a little rusty or wants to brush up on the basics?
If so, then this is the workshop for you!
Throughout this three hour workshop led by Justin Wilder students will get a brief overview of the core concepts of improv including Object Work, Yes, And and Base Reality. Built with a variety of games and exercises, this workshop is intended to be both an introduction for those new to improv, as well as an opportunity to get back to basics. Come see what improv is all about and work in a fun and supportive environment! There’s no pressure to be funny!
This workshop is open to all experience levels and the minimum age is 16. Some light to moderate movement may be involved and comfortable clothing and footwear is encouraged. The workshop will run 3 hours and include a short break. You are welcome to bring your own water and/or snack. Water and snacks will also be available for purchase.
Justin Wilder has taken or taught most of the improv classes and workshops available in the Providence/Pawtucket area. He has practiced and performed for the last six years locally and on a variety of festival stages in Providence, Hartford, NYC and more. He currently plays on Up In The Attic and Starbuck’s Newest Secret Drink.
