National touring artists, The Samples will perform at The Guild Pawtucket on Friday, April 19. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Pawtucket singer-songwriter, J. Michael Graham will open the show.

Best known for his high voice, unique guitar playing and songwriting (“Nature”, “Feel Us Shaking”, “Did You Ever Look So Nice”) rock, reggae and folk singer/songwriter, Sean Kelly is the
front man for The Samples. The son of a WWII veteran and a mom who worked construction to put food on the table, Kelly grew up in Vermont. While attending only one year of high school, he began playing guitar and composing his own songs. The Samples first formed in 1987 in Boulder, Colorado after Sean Kelly and bassist Andy Sheldon moved there from Vermont, where they had known each other since high school. The Samples became one of the most popular touring bands in the 1990s and continue to play a full time schedule. J. Michael Graham Bio:

Singer-songwriter, J. Michael Graham has released two critically acclaimed collections of original music and is currently working on his first full length album. Graham has played numerous shows throughout the New England region, as well as taken short jaunts through the Midwest and Tennessee. His songs take the listener to places where time, location and feelings blur. The stories and vignettes presented in the lyrics feel familiar, but are juxtaposed against a musical backdrop to create something a little more complex. A 2022 Motif Music Award Nominee in the Best Americana Vocalist category, Graham has shared the stage with a wide range of artists including The Samples, Dresden Dolls, James Montgomery, Vance Gilbert, The Sea The Sea, Catie Curtis, Mark Cutler and Ian O’Neil from Deer Tick.
