The Joy & Wonder of Miniatures and BeDazzled with Puppets

Come spend a fun-filled afternoon at Hearthside! Inside the museum is a big exhibit about everything SMALL, from miniatures to models, historic artifacts, and custom made miniatures of familiar items. Our outdoor “BeDazzled” activity features the renowned Dan Butterworth, who brings to us an amazing marionette show of his hand-crafted puppets. Two performances at noon and 2:30. Also, there will be a puppet workshop and a make-and-take home miniature activity, raffle, scavenger hunt and refreshments. A perfect family outing and history-filled experience for everyone!
We are extremely pleased to present Pell Award winner Dan Butterworth for the July 27th version of The Joy & Wonder of Miniatures exhibit. He has performed throughout the United States and abroad, delighting his audiences with his exquisitely handcrafted marionettes in a lively and colorful tribute to cultures around the world.
He adapts his performance to each audience and celebration, so just know that miniatures will surely have a role in the production!
Dan offers up not only two performances during the day, but also will share his creativity in a puppet workshop between performances. Shows are at noon and 2:30 pm with limited seating under the tent at each.
The show delights and enchants all ages!
