The Jess Tora Jazz Trio returns to Music at the Farm as “Artists in Residence” performing the old standards and Great American Songbook. Ms. Toracinta is “a lady with a remarkable voice who warms your heart”. She is a well known jazz singer and teacher in Rhode Island with students who go on to sing on Broadway. She is graduate of Rhode Island College and an alumni of Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has written and recorded her own material including a holiday release containing four original songs. She is accompanied by pianist Greg Wardson and bass player David Zinno.
Greg Wardson, pianist, composer, arranger, recording artist and teacher lives in Warwick RI and is an Associate Professor at Berklee College in Boston. He has recorded with singers Smokey Robinson, Clark Terry, Aretha Franklin and others and his music has been used in the movies Philadelphia, Walking and Talking and A Day in Black and White.
