At the German-American Cultural Society, we host an annual Sommerfest to welcome in the warm weather months. We like to think of our Sommerfests as a summertime version of the Wiesn or Oktoberfest. Each June, we welcome guests to our Sommerfest in Pawtucket, which is held in our outdoor Biergarten, indoor Ratskeller bar, and large upstairs Bierhalle. Traditional live music is played throughout and our guests can share in ‘der Gemütlichkeit’ (coziness or relaxation) with German beer and food offerings.
There will be live entertainment:
Tubafrau – 1 to 5 pm
Bavarian Brothers – 6 to 10 pm
Alpenblumen Schuhplattlers – multiple dance performances
Plenty of food options can be found in the Ratskeller Kitchen, under the Biergarten Food Tent, with the Biergarten Food Vendors, the Cake Table and the Pretzel stand in the Biergarten, as well as an extensive draught beer line up and a selection of spirits, wine and more!
Admission is $12 (Children 12 and under are free and do not require a ticket). Tickets can be pre-purchased in advance online or purchased at the door on the day of the event (cash only at the door).
