Rhode Island Stage Ensemble One Act Play Festival

New voices. New perspectives. New stories. Join us as we initiate a new annual tradition at RISE!
This year, we are thrilled to present eight works from up and coming local playwrights or directors. The 2023 line-up runs the gamut from the deeply personal to the wildly comic, from soap opera send-ups to bawdy musicals, and everything in between!

“What’s in the Box?” written and directed by Joe Lanctot
“Who’s Rock’s Ugliest Frontman?” written and directed by David Adams Murphy
“Sure Thing” directed by Lauren Pothier
“Donkeyskin” written and directed by Rosa Nguyen
“Dinner for One” by Lauri Wiley, directed by Rose Linnell
“All of Us” written and directed by Lauren McGuirk
