In 1921, a group of businessmen formed the Old Slater Mill Association to preserve and protect an important link to Pawtucket’s past. This walkabout will consider the question of “why Pawtucket?” from a new point of view. What was happening in this changing city just over a century ago that made people want to save and protect industrial history? Enjoy an evening walk and get to know the more recent history of Pawtucket.
