Join Saltitude for three hours to create a sacred space to honor your loved ones and our broken hearts. You’ll leave with a sense of peace and love for the beauty we all hold within.
The creation of Mending the Pieces of Your Broken Heart Ceremony was inspired by a documentary about the journey of living with grief. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — a metaphor for embracing flaws and imperfections. “You won’t realize your full potential until you go through the tough times.” Kintsugi takes work and awareness in order for it to truly be healing.
We know that with loss and grief, our hearts are broken. The heart bowls are the physical metaphor for this practice. Breaking the bowl is meant to act as a form of releasing the emotions of loss we feel; putting it back together is like mending our broken hearts. The gold resembles the light of love shining through the broken pieces.
During our time together you’ll start off relaxing in the Himalayan Salt Cave followed by several exercises before breaking the heart bowl and putting it back together.
