Levitt Amp Concert Series Woonsocket – Rev. Sekou w/ Kim Trusty

Come to beautiful River Island Art Park in downtown Woonsocket for the 6th of 10 FREE concerts for the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series. Concerts will continue every Friday from July 9 – September 17 (skipping September 3).
August 13th features Rev. Sekou with opening act Kim Trusty MC’ed by Marlon Carey.
The Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series is FREE and open to the public. Come ready to eat, dance, and have a great time! Bring a friend and something to sit on.

ABOUT REV. SEKOU
Rev. Osagyefo (oh-sah-GG-fo) Uhuru (ooh-WHO-roo) Sekou (SAY-koo). Noted activist, theologian, author, documentary filmmaker, and musician, Reverend Osagyefo Sekou was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in the rural Arkansas Delta. Rev. Sekou’s music is a unique combination of North Mississippi Hill Country Music, Arkansas Delta Blues, Memphis Soul and Pentecostal steel guitar.
