Wage House proudly presents I’m Afraid. One man’s journey through terror and anxiety, but it’s funny.
Local writer and performer Dave Rabinow (Improv Jones, Empire Revue, Vox Magna) has thoughtfully catalogued many of his own personal fears and wants to share them with you. I’m Afraid is an hour-long comedy journey into the heart of one man’s anxiety; But wait, there’s more! You – the audience – determine the shape and content of the show by sharing a teensy-tiny bit of your own fear in our warm, safe Wage House environment surrounded by (strictly metaphorical) emotional support animals. Every show is different! Part solo show, part communal experience, I’m Afraid brings performer and audience together in the place where we are most vulnerable and most human.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt famously said “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Fortunately for us, President Roosevelt was full of crap.
