𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲, 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟳-𝟵𝗽𝗺

In an already rich live music scene, East Providence becomes a bit more robust with the addition of the Gathering Grounds Coffeehouse, a unique place to gather for music, java and friends!

East Providence Heritage Arts, Inc. is partnering with RI Songwriters Association to start the new coffeehouse which will be located within the cafeteria of the East Providence Senior Center at 610 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI. The Gathering Grounds Coffeehouse debut show at takes place on Friday, September 13, 2024 with Louise Mosrie headlining and Tom Smith opening the show.

Singer/songwriter Louise Mosrie hails from Tennessee, with a beautiful voice, and a talent for storytelling in every song. She’s won several performing songwriter awards (Solarfest, Wildlflower!), as well as awards for her songwriting at Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Songwriting Competition 2009 & 2020, (www.louisemosrie.com).

Hailing from Massachusetts, Tom Smith is a well-known talent in the New England folk scene and beyond or as one fan commented: “If you could combine the DNA of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie with that of Robert Frost and Kermit the Frog you would end up with someone very much like Tom Smith.” (www.tomsmithmusic.com)

Admission is free and refreshments will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
