We are proud to sponsor the work of the internationally known Syrian artist Khalid Alkhani, showing from January 14 through January 23. The opening reception will be on January 15th from 4:00-8:00pm.
“Khaled was born in 1975.
At the age of seven, his father was cruelly assassinated during the Hama massacres. He draws, paints and frequents painters’ art studios. He then leaves for Damascus. At the Beaux-Arts, he sells paintings to live his student life. Soon after, he had exhibitions in Damascus, Kuwait and Jordan. With 2010 comes the major breakthrough. He becomes Khaled Alkhani and masters hisartistic vocabulary. After participating in a protest against the current regime, he must flee Syria. He arrives in France in 2011. His French and European adventure finally begins.”
