Join Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park for a celebration of human rights, spring, and work. The festival will honor the memory of the 1824 worker’s walk out which happened in Pawtucket. This even is credited as the first industrial worker’s strike in U.S. history. Special tours and programs will be offered that day, musical and storytelling performances, May Pole dancing, and more. Local cultural and public groups will also be at the festival including the Rhode Island Spinners, the Blackstone Watershed Collaborative, and many more.
