Are you looking for an opportunity to socialize in the evening and make new friends? Join Cumberland Public Library’s Evening Book Discussion Group, which meets on the second Monday of the month. Discuss great titles and meet great people, This month they will be discussing: I am Malala: I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb.

Describes the life of the young Pakistani student who advocated for women’s rights and education in the Taliban-controlled Swat Balley, survived an assassination attempt, and became the youngest nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk for checkout.
