The Brian James Quintet is a fusion jazz band from the Providence, RI area. They have played primarily throughout the Rhode Island area and are ready to bring their rock-infused jazz to a broader area. Their high energy music incorporates elements of jazz, rock, funk, R&B, and fusion; the energy of the music is infectious and will reach all audiences. The group plays a combination of original compositions and covers by Billy Cobham, Stanton Moore, even Hendrix and Zeppelin.
“This is not your fathers’ jazz.” BJQ plays an accessible and energetic fusion of funk, classic rock, blues, and contemporary New Orleans jazz. Their raw energy and driving grooves are infectious and sure to get your booty shakin’!
