Bocce for Bikes

Bocce for Bikes event benefits Project Broken Wheel Foundation at Jerry Longo’s Meatball and Martinis. We encourage teams of two to sign up per half hour for match play. See link to sign up. Each team will face off against another team. The winning team will receive a gift bag from our sponsors. All teams will receive a complimentary 3-course dinner and cocktails from our sponsors. Overall prizes will be awarded for the highest score, lowest score, best team outfits, best & worst bocce throw, and overall team score. Registration is $50 per team (2 members per team), and all funds will directly go towards Project Broken Wheel Foundation.

“Project Broken Wheel Foundation” refurbishes bicycles given to us from communities across Rhode Island. The donated bikes get seat replacements, tires repaired, chains fixed, reflectors placed on tires/front & back of the bike, and even touch up paint and some TLC, and the bikes look close to brand new. Over the course of the 11 years the program donated over 1,200 bicycles to local children’s organizations (Manville Family Literacy Center, Lincoln Adopt-A-Family, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, Institute for the Study & Practice of Non-Violence, Martin Luther King Family Center, Children & Family Services, Saint Lucy Heart, Salve Regina University Scholarship Program & local underprivileged families in the area.)
