Blackstone Valley Paddle Club – Spring Lake, Burrillville – Party and Paddle

August 20 @ 5:45 pm - 8:00 pm

August 20th  Party and Paddle at Spring Lake. Meet at 5:45- launching promptly at 6:00  (note the earlier time due to the earlier sunset). Join us for a short paddle around Spring Lake and then a gathering at Julie and Steve’s waterfront home for pizza and a party!

Spring Lake Boat ramp:
N 41° 58.695′  W 071° 39.864′

From Rt. 146 North take Slatersville/Forestdale exit. At end of the ramp, take left onto School Street. School Street merges into Greene Street in Slatersville, next to white church. Greene Street then becomes Main
Street. Follow Main street until end at light at intersection with Route 102/Bronco Highway. Make a left onto Route 102. Follow Rt. 102 about 2 miles to Glendale. At Bella’s Restuarant, on left, take left on to access
road. At end of road, turn right onto Victory Highway and first right onto Joslin Road. Take first left onto Spring Lake Road. Proceed about 1/2 mile and take left onto Black Hut Road – there is a sign to the beach here. Go past Spring Lake beach parking lot and follow Black Hut along the shore
line of the lake through a small lake front neighborhood. State boat launch will be on right at the bend in the road.

To participate in the Blackstone Paddler’s Events, a RI Canoe and Kayak Association membership fee of $15.00  is required, as is a $10.00 membership fee for the Blackstone Valley Paddle Club.   These fees provide a family membership and are good for the entire season.  If you are a current RICKA member, you may join for the additional $10.00 membership fee.  If you are not yet a RICKA member, you may  join and pay your dues for both RICKA and Blackstone Valley Paddle Club by going to our Membership Page for payment options. Please note: we will not be taking payment for dues at the paddle locations.  Please pay your dues in advance.

 Note: Inflatable PFDs (life vests) and inflatable kayaks are not acceptable for paddling on RICKA Flatwater trips or Blackstone Valley Paddle Club trips.
