Celebrating over 50 years of public television excellence, WSBE Rhode Island PBS will host approximately 400 guests at the historic Pawtucket Armory for our annual food and wine fundraising event, An Evening Uncorked!. The festive spring event features wine tastings of fine domestic and international vintages selected for this event from the cellars of local purveyors and private donors.

Savory small bites are prepared by chefs from more than a dozen of the best restaurants, caterers and confectioners in Rhode Island and southeastern New England.

An Evening Uncorked!

The centerpiece of the event is our public television celebrity guest, Lidia Bastianich, who meets and greets attendees during the Champagne VIP reception from 6:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The guest of honor then mingles with guests and partakes of the wine and food displays. Time will also be allocated for a book signing. Lidia’s books include her new memoir My American Dream: A Life of Love, Family, and Food and Lidia’s Celebrate Like an Italian. These books will be available to preorder on March 1.

Throughout the evening, guests may also participate in an instant-win wine grab and browse the silent and live auctions offering boutique wines and unique gift packages. Entertainment is provided by local musicians. Complimentary valet parking another of the many elegant touches and thoughtful conveniences surrounding this special event.

All proceeds benefit Rhode Island PBS. This support allows Rhode Island PBS to continue delivering local programming and series that educate, inform, enrich, inspire and entertain viewers of all age.
