This year’s Glocester Scarecrow Festival will take place on Main Street (Putnam Pike) along the Village of Chepachet. One day of festival, October 19 2019, and 14 days of scarecrows. Scarecrows will remain in place until November 3. Over 60 scarecrows lined the Village of Chepachet last year. Festival day begins at 9 am with the placement of scarecrows. Hot drinks and apple cider donuts will be available to begin the day. Awards will be given out at 1 pm at The Pavilion at Kent Field, 1109 Putnam Pike. There will be street entertainment and food along Putnam Pike beginning at 10:30 am. Face painting at the Pavilion and Pony rides at The Chepachet Baptist Church 1213 Putnam Pike. At 2 pm at the Pavilion, Atwater- Donnelly, a Rhode Island folk duo, will perform. More entertainment and food options will be announced later.
