What’s a Liege Waffle (lee-ehj)? It is a dough based, yeast-risen waffle; it’s full of buttery goodness and more similar to a brioche dough. There are pearl sugars mixed into the dough that, when the waffle is cooked, caramelize on the outside of the waffle. The waffle is dense and chewy, yet still fluffy from the yeast. Trust us, these ain’t yo mama’s waffles!
Toppings include staples such as cinnamon and sugar, nutella, cookie butter, as well as specials such as the Banana Churro Supreme (cinnamon & sugar, caramel drizzle, bananas, and whipped cream) and the In Bacon We Must (Ricotta, Fig Spread, Bacon, Basil). Constant menu rotations…maybe a sage sausage gravy with gruyere cheese, or a crispy pork belly with mole sauce and queso fresco; or perhaps lemon curd, raspberries, and whipped cream.
