Blackstone Valley Shopping & History Train Excursion

Hop aboard for a wonderful train excursion to learn more about the history of the Blackstone River Valley!
Your trip begins at 9 AM in Woonsocket, RI. From there you’ll take a 2 1/2 hour train ride through Blackstone Valley National Heritage Corridor up to Worcester, MA on your way to Putnam, CT.

 

For this trip we’ve partnered with historian Barbara Zdravesky to create a tour booklet that includes informative history of the cities and towns along our route to enjoy at your leisure.

 

Once we arrive, explore Putnam to find some amazing antiquing spots, acclaimed local restaurants, art galleries, craft beer, historic sites, their giant sandcastle & scarecrow display along the Quinebaug River at Rotary Park, and much more!!!

 

After a fun-filled afternoon, train boarding will be at 2:00 PM for return back to Woonsocket, RI at 5:00 PM.

Private Cabins: $99 per seat
Premium Cars: $89 per seat
1st Class Cars: $79 per seat

Premium Cars have larger seats, more leg room, and options for table seating. The Blue Cabin and Brown Cabin are private seating areas and sold as a complete group so you can have a truly unique & personal experience during your trip.

NOTE: The train used for this trip has vintage train cars with several large step to climb. The restrooms on board are small and use hand sanitizer (there is no running water). Currently, no food & beverages are available for purchase on board but you are welcome to bring your own.
