  • APPLE PICKING 

    • Jawell’s Farm
      • Located in the heart of Smithfield, RI’s “Apple Valley”, Jaswell’s farm is known to be the largest operating apple orchard in Smithfield. 
    • Appleland Orchard 
      • A place for all members of the family, Appleland Orchard is in the village of Greenville in Smithfield, RI.  PICK YOUR OWN APPLES IN NOT AVAIALBLE. ONLY AVAOABLE FOR PURCHASE. 
    • Phantom Farms 
      • A destination for all seasons. Though you CANNOT pick-your-own apples this year, they are still open for business and selling fresh picked apples in the store! Don’t forget to check out their cafe, bakery, and country store while purchasing your apples! 

 

  • PUMPKIN PICKING 

 

 

      • Head over to Adam’s Farm to enjoy ALL your favorite fall activities! Not only are they the home of the LARGEST pumpkin patch in RI, but they also have all sorts of actives including a farm animal petting area, kid-friendly haymaze & cornmaze, “hay mountain” & tire playground, and cornhole games & farmstand. Don’t forget their weekend only activities like their hayride and 5-acre mega corn maze. 

 

  • FARM STANDS 

        • Take a stopover at their farm stand that is fully stocked with all sorts of veggies, fresh eggs, plants and of course PUMPKINS! While you’re here remember to stop over at Chase Farm to scout out the field where Hocus Pocus 2 filmed their recreation of Salem, MA!  
      • Apples, Apples, Apples!!! They have it all! Make sure to visit Goodwin Brothers for FRESH apple cider, FRESH chocolate covered apples, FRESH apple cider donuts, and plenty of FRESH picked apples!! 

 

  • FESTIVALS 

      • For 2 FULL days, the German American Cultural Society of Rhode Island will be celebrating the Bavarian tradition of the Wies’n. Enjoy traditional dance and music performances along with tasting traditional foods and of course, BEER! 
      • A Fall Harvest Celebration! On October 13th & 14th, get ready to enjoy all things FALL! This includes apple picking, free hayrides, a farmers’ market, vendors, live music, and food!! 

      • Enjoy Fall Fest every Saturday and Sunday this October! Experience all they have to offer including pumpkin picking hayrides, local vendors, fall food, and even tag your very own Christmas Tree!! 
      • Experience the largest Fall Festival in Northern RI! Enjoy vendors, food trucks, live music, rides, and more in Woonsocket, RI this Columbus Day Weekend!! Don’t miss out on their Columbus Day Parade as well! 

 

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

      • One of the best local places to check out the beautiful views of the RI Blackstone Valley. There are so many experiences to enjoy here including scenic overlooks, picnicking, boating, fishing, game fields, and plenty of walking trails.  Get there quick to see the fall foliage in full action!  
      • Looking for a way to get active and enjoy the beautiful leaves changing color this fall? Take a ride or even a walk down the Blackstone River Bikeway.
